This power filter upgrade for the Base AVO Turboworld Mazda ND 2.0L Turbo kit includes a cold air induction system which comes with an advanced oil breather tank and washer bottle relocation tank.

Why do we recommend the Upgraded Kit?
The standard vehicle in normally aspirated and turbocharged form, if driven hard can suck oil into the back corner of the intake manifold. The reason why this happens is the factory PCV valve leaks under full throttle. Anyone that has the removed the intake manifold off these vehicles will see oil in the rear cylinders and excessive carbon build-up in all cylinders. We have seen an ND with only 15000 kilometres with serious carbon build-up. The oil and carbon build-up eventually leads to detonation.
The upgraded kit allows a higher level of reliability, more ignition timing and higher boost levels of 7 - 8.5 psi. This converts to more power and torque.
The first of the reasons for the improvement is that the airbox is relocated to behind the headlight on the RHS (view from inside the car) resulting in reduced intake air temperatures.
The second reason is that the pod filter flows more CFM than the standard airbox design.
The third reason is due to the more efficient oil breather system created by the large oil breather tank, separated hose plumbing, replacement of leaking factory PCV valve with specially designed fitting and turbo PCV valve fitted in a better location. This will stop oil going into the intake manifold and therefore reduce the potential for detonation. The windscreen washer water bottle is also part of the oil breather tank and mounts neatly where the original factory airbox was located.
This kit gives you potential to increase power if going to E85 and beyond.
