MX5 NC 2.0/2.5L Race Ceramic Coated 4 into 1 Headers

AVO Turbo World, one of the leading producers of aftermarket performance products for Subaru, Mazda and Nissan, and the manufacturer of the innovative MX5 ND turbo system, has turned an engineering eye to the 2006 – 2015 MX5 NC.

It became obvious that the factory exhaust was not designed for performance, to say the least and even worse with larger engines or forced induction!  We decided to develop a 2" race version for the customer upgrading their NC to an upgraded 2.5L engine or the customer running higher boost levels on their supercharged 2.0L engine.  To help with this, we have added a 3" exit after the collector to a 3" discharge flange.  This can lead to a full 3" exhaust system if the customer chooses to.

The first product on the drawing board was the exhaust header.  This “clean sheet of paper” design features 2” mandrel bent 304 stainless steel, extra thick stainless steel CNC machined head flange, port matched primaries, and the heart of the design is AVO’s exclusive 4 into 1 cast stainless steel merge collector.  In addition, each completed unit is treated to our patented ceramic coating treatment featuring Cerakote thin film material.

Dyno results clearly show that we were on the right track with our development project!  A 2015 MX5 NC was used for testing.  Completely stock except for a base EcuTek tuning calibration from Dynotronics
