AVO Turbo World, one of the leading producers of aftermarket performance products for Subaru, Mazda and Nissan, and the manufacturer of many innovative turbo systems and related parts, has turned an engineering eye to the 2018+ Suzuki Jimny.
When we looked at the performance of the 1.5 litre normally aspirated engine in this chassis, it became obvious that the factory airbox was not designed for performance, to say the least!
This kit is for the customer that has previously purchased the AVO Turbo Kit and has had a snorkel fitted to the vehicle. To get air from the snorkel into the Turbo, this kit is what you require. It comes with a aluminium water washer tank as the factory water tank requires removal. The water washer tank is fitted behind the ABS at the rear of the engine bay. The airbox and intake hose is fitted at the front of the engine bay just in front of the turbocharger. There is a crossover pipe fitted from the airbox and runs across the engine bay to the other corner where the snorkel is located. Attaching the pipe to the snorkel is completed with flexible ducting.
The Oil Breather Tank kit is required where it has been fitted with an AVO Turbo Kit or any forced induction setup. The main reason specifically for the Jimny as to why we had to design the oil breather tank kit was because of customers running snorkels. The snorkel causes a depression in the system which in turn leads to high vacuum and oil being pulled out of the engine into the intake. This is very bad for engine reliability. This AVO oil/vapour separator tank kit removes the oil mist from the crankcase gas before it is returned back to the engines air intake. The kit bolts to the factory rear firewall and comes with all the necessary components to make for a correct installation.
Kit comes with everything that is required right down to the last silicone hose, hose clamp, rubber grommet and flexible ducting.
